Mudança sintática e sufixos latinos

O objetivo deste estudo é ver em que medida o parentesco etimológico tem correspondência com semelhança gramatical. São analisadas palavras derivadas diacronicamente a partir das raízes latinas VEN e VERT. O modelo teórico adotado é o da Morfologia Distribuída, do qual é feita a descrição e dadas as principais justificativas. Os resultados mostram que no decurso entre latim e português ocorreram refatiamentos das peças vocabulares, o que resultou em cisão de raízes. A mudança na segmentação das peças geralmente é acompanhada de mudança semântica. Também se encontram casos em que a sintaxe dos dois estágios difere, porém a semântica da palavra no estágio contemporâneo replica a do estágio ancestral, fazendo isso via leitura na Enciclopédia. Estes resultados condizem com as expectativas da teoria.Downloads
