A fala silenciosa reportada: metáfora, metonímia e mesclagem

Este trabalho investiga os processos cognitivos de mesclagem, extensão metafórica e metonímica (BARCELONA, 2003; FAUCONNIER, 1994, 1997; FAUCONNIER e TURNER, 2002; GOLDBERG, 1995; LAKOFF e JOHNSON, 1999, 1980; LAKOFF e TURNER, 1989; SALOMÃO, 2003, 1999, 1997) subjacentes a certas construções de pseudoautocitação. Os dados provenientes de corpus videografado sinalizaram certa produtividade desse recurso dicendi, comum à reportação de "discursos" próprios que não foram verbalizados na cena original, mas apenas pensados. A partir de construções como "Aí eu falei (pensei): Coitado!", constatou-se a existência da metáfora PENSAMENTO É FALA e da metonímia FALAR POR PENSAR, o que revela como o falante concebe rotineiramente as relações entre linguagem e pensamento. Postula-se também que as razões cognitivas e interacionais para se optar por construções desse tipo relacionam-se a interdições de caráter pragmático que inibem a expressão do pensamento na cena original. Além disso, as expressões dêiticas, por vezes, fornecem pistas para o ouvinte da pseudoautocitação estabelecer a interpretação adequada.Downloads
