A influência dos antecedentes vinculados e não vinculados no processamento da anáfora "a si mesmo(a)"

Este trabalho buscou investigar como os indivíduos processam a anáfora “a si mesmo(a)” dentro do escopo estrutural da sentença. Verificamos a existência de poucos estudos em português sobre processamento on-line que têm investigado a atuação dos princípios estruturais da Teoria da Ligação para explicar a resolução da correferência de anáforas (pronomes reflexivos) durante a compreensão das sentenças. Utilizando a técnica de leitura automonitorada, examinou-se o tempo de leitura da anáfora a si mesmo(a) a qual precede um antecedente gramatical e um agramatical em termos da Teoria da Ligação (Chomsky, 1981, 1986). Os primeiros resultados obtidos neste estudo nos mostram que apenas os antecedentes disponíveis estruturalmente, seguindo a Teoria da Ligação, são considerados como possibilidades prováveis da anáfora (Nicol & Swinney, 1989).
