Deafblindness is recognized as a unique disability that results in the loss of vision and hearing and is classified into two groups: congenital, in which the person is born with the disability; and acquired, when a person is born with visual or hearing loss, acquiring another throughout life. Among the impairments caused by deafblindness are sensory, locomotion, communication, orientation and mobility difficulties. In this way, new reflections on behavioral change help to overcome challenges posed to modern social theories, arising from contemporary communication problems and establish a change in paradigms. Given this, the question arises: How can we break the contemporary duality in the field of learning and communication for deafblind people? In this work the objective is to develop an electronic didactic-pedagogical prototype for teaching Braille applied, mainly to deafblind people. This new assistive technology (AT) uses electronic systems associated with algorithms and programming, and is manufactured by additive manufacturing (3D printing).
