The lesson of the IMAGES TWO COMMENTS ABOUT the EMANCIPATED SPECTATOR
Keywords:
Rancière, Image, Regard, Spectator, EmancipationAbstract
Neither from the point of view of the theory of images, nor from the point of view of the philosophy of emancipation, it is possible to underestimate the importance of the displacements that Rancière produced at the intersection of the domains of art and politics. His work involves a questioning of the arguments founding the criticism about the unreality of the images and the passivity of the regard. Reversing this Platonic perspective, he put the aesthetic dimension again at the heart of the politics of emancipation. Returning to the essentials of this thesis, this article aims to to incorporate two notes in relation to the treatment given by Rancière in relation to the question of the image and the regard, hoping to be able to contribute to the deepening of the issues at stake.Downloads
