Abstract

This article presents the trajectory and memories of an Environmental Education extension project carried out with public school teachers of Volta Redonda. The project was developed by the Quaternary & Technogenic Studies Nucleus (NEQUAT) in partnership with the Geography Curriculum Sector of the Teacher Training School Unit of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (CAp-UFRJ) and the Municipal Secretary of Education of Volta Redonda (RJ). Based on life histories methods, written and oral records available in the NEQUAT-UFRJ collection were analyzed. Using this method a diversity  of theoretical approaches were identified over time as well as changing discourse and practice at the individual teacher level and in school teaching policy.
