Abstract

This article analyzes my experience with teaching the course Theory of Geography in the Graduate Program in Geography of UFRJ. The main challenges involved in this exercise of teaching theory were the changes in content and the transformations in the organization of the program over the last 25 years. This analysis is based on the memory and recollections of the author, who was responsible for lecturing the course during the whole period.
