Abstract

This article presents a brief overview of agrarian research undertaken by the professors of the Postgraduate Programme in Geography of the UFRJ. Research themes are contextualized within the transformation of Brazilian agriculture over the fifty years that the programme has existed. Topics investigated are exemplified by the publications of the professors engaged in agrarian studies, their participation in research networks and inter-institutional cooperation.
