Literatura infantil em língua de sinais e a educação literária do leitor surdo

RESUMO: Neste artigo, discutiremos as relações entre literatura e escola, a fim de subsidiar a reflexão sobre as concepções e práticas de leitura literária na formação do leitor surdo no Ensino Fundamental na atualidade. Ancorados nos Estudos Culturais e na obra de Stuart Hall, analisaremos, na primeira parte deste estudo, a materialidade de produções literárias em língua de sinais e as representações sobre a surdez e a literatura nelas engendradas. Na segunda parte, baseados nos estudos de Dalvi (2013), Rezende (2014), Rouxel (2013), dentre outros, que entendem a leitura literária, a vivência ou a experiência da leitura enquanto prática como eixo central da educação literária, apresentaremos algumas sugestões metodológicas para o trabalho docente com a literatura em língua de sinais no Ensino Fundamental.
