A geograficidade do evento-aula: um breve ensaio

Abstract

Associated with the field of Geography of Education (GdE), this paper explores the role of geography in understanding an educational issue that differs entirely from the themes relevant to School Geography. I focus on describing the spatiality of the class-event, highlighting the historical-pedagogical variability in how spaces are organized upon its occurrence. The essayistic reflection emphasizes the capacity of such an event to reflect a set of tensions associated with the implementation of different pedagogical ideas. In organizational terms, I divide it into three sections, with two dedicated to exploring spatial ordering models linked to traditional and renewed conceptions, and the third presenting certain ways of geographically "seeing" the underlying spatial patterns.
