Abstract
In timeless times, when the old mixes with the new, subjects play new social roles and the dominant culture is increasingly modifiable, this article aims to reflect on the role of education in the current technological society using as its main theoretical support the works of Lévy, Jenkins and Castells through a bibliographic review. In this sense, the article demonstrates how education, from an emancipatory and liberating perspective, will have part of the responsibility for preparing future generations to recognize and deal with their new power of social modification generated by access to technology, with digital literacy being one of the possible practices.
