This article discusses the concepts of text that underlie the treatment of literary texts by textbooks. For this study, statements of text interpretation issues present in Literature sections are analyzed in two textbooks adopted in public schools in the state of Ceará, for high school. The objective was to analyze the text concepts suggested by textbooks in the approach of literary texts. It was possible to make some considerations about how these approaches can have an impact on teaching and learning to read these texts. Guided by the reflections of Textual Linguistics and the theory of complexity, especially in the ideas of Koch (2001 and 2009), Marcuschi (2003 and 2012), Demo (2002) and Franco (2011), it was possible to identify some text concepts from the analysis of some issues of interpretation of literary texts. It was also observed, in this study, that the activities of interpretation of literary texts in textbooks still treat the text as a pretext, without elucidating the necessary interaction between text and reader, defended by the conception of text from the perspective of complexity and by the most recent ones studies of Textual Linguistics.Downloads
