Maximality and distributivity in Brazilian Portuguese

Neste artigo analisamos as propriedades semânticas de cada e todos os, os quais tem sido analisados na literatura como quantificadores universais distributivos (Müller, Negrão e Gomes 2007). A partir de uma série de estudos experimentais, pretendemos mostrar que tod- (a raiz de todos os) não é um quantificador que acarreta distributividade, mas, ao invés disso, um modificador que acarreta maximalidade (Brisson 1998, 2003). Cada, por outro lado, é marcado para distributividade.
