Abstract

When women left home to work outside the house is a great the exit of women to the job market is one of the major justifications in studies in the field of food and nutrition for the worsening of the nutritional quality of family food consumption, which leads to the development and increase in the prevalence and incidence of chronic non-communicable diseases in Brazil in recent decades. The change in the Brazilian's eating profile is notable, but how much this affirmation of women's emancipation to obtain space in the professional field, outside the home, with paid work and recognition in addition to independence, is configured as a sexist and blaming discourse. This article aims to provide a critical review of the topic based on a survey of articles that contextualized the change in eating patterns in Brazil, the affirmation of women's exit to the job market with the themes of the concept of family, creation of patriarchy, lack of a social structure to support women and female overload.
