Abstract

This experience report is the result of a research project carried out between March and June 2020, with the objective of identifying Sapere, that is, identifying the knowledge that is linked to the flavors of food and food products, in Recife from the times of Covid-19 and of yore. Data collection took place in the literature and through observation and listening to street food vendors, who circulated on the border between the neighborhoods of Casa Forte and Casa Amarela, in the first year of Covid-19. The narrative takes place through a letter addressed to Professor Paulo Freire, according to the theoretical basis of António Nóvoa (2015) and Raine Maria Rilke (2011). It was observed, both in literature and among sellers, the presence and residue of very old costumes.
